Missing My Big Kids

The kids have been gone for 6 days now and I miss them so much. I should say we miss them so much. I think Anna misses them more than I do. They are on a mission trip with our church in Iowa. They have been doing some construction work like taking down a wall in a church and painting in what Ashley says is scorching heat. I've never been to Iowa but it couldn't be a hot as it has been here in Arkansas this week. They are also doing a VBS in the evenings. Tomorrow they will have a fun day before heading home on Saturday.

Snaggle Tooth Kid

Anna has been working really hard the past few days to get her loose tooth looser (Is that a word?). She has even been eating apples without me cutting them up first.
Today it got to the point that if she had sneezed it would have flown out of her mouth. When I got home from work today she ran to me and grabbed her tooth and plucked it right out. It didn't even bleed. Mom said she had twisted it all the way around backward and it look so funny.
Anna is such nut sometimes. She keeps us laughing.

What's For Supper?

How about some Mickey Mouse waffles?
Even my big kids were excited about it. Aubrey ate 3 or 4 and then made fun of Amber for only eating one.

My Aunt Lane got me this waffle iron about 15 years ago. The kids love Mickey waffles now just as much as they did back then.

It's been way to long

I'm going to try and do better at keeping up with this blog. I started it in March 08 and only posted one time.

Anna has been hanging with the cousins for 2 weeks at Grandma and Papa's house. My big girls have loved not having to babysit. We went to the Museum of Discovery last weekend and had so much fun. There weren't many people there so the girls pretty much had the place to themselves. Here are some pictures of the fun.

The Science Room was a hit.
Anna was learning about sound waves.

Papa enjoyed this room as much a the girls did.
This table let them discover how electricity is conducted.

This was the coolest thing. They stood in front
of the screen and the projected water went around them.

Don't look to close. The little sign says
please don't touch.

Maybe we have a future dentist in the family.

We had lots of fun blow painting in the craft room.

Tana hung in there as long as she could. She feel asleep just as we got to the car.
