Excited about dressing up as Anne Frank
So Anna did a report on Anne Frank at school. Today the students could dress up as the person they wrote their report about. Anna was so excited about this. I got this dress at a local second hand sale for $3.25. I'm excited about the great deal I got. I like the dress and hope she will wear it again. It looks brand new. She asked this morning if I was sure little girls in the 1940's would wear tights and bows in their hair. I told her that I had googled it and I am sure they did. I think this is the first time she has ever worn tights and not had a meltdown over it. Anyway, we had a great morning getting ready for school and if you know Anna those don't happen often.
Anna and mornings don't mix well and it doesn't help that mom and mornings don't mix well either. I took this picture on my phone so it isn't the best but it works.

Here's the picture in black and white. I think maybe this one looks more like a 1940's girl. Or a picture of one anyway. What do you think? Did mom do a good job on the Anne Frank look?

Ashley Singing Again........
She is doing so well. I'm so proud of her. Her camera shut off toward the end of the song but that's ok she still did a good job.

Ashley singing
Here are a couple of Ashley latest recordings. I think she sounds awesome and is doing a wonderful job playing her guitar without even one lesson. She is one talented girl.

Anna Lost the Other Top Tooth
There was a huge ordeal at lunch today at Wendy's. Her tooth was pretty loose to start with and she got it even looser eating a chicken nugget. She was fine until she saw the blood and then she freaked out. Aunt Lane said you could hear her freaking out in the bathroom. She waited until we got home several hours later to pull it out. I told her she was going to have to keep her mouth shut outside until she pulls it because a small breeze would blow it out.
Just some random stuff from the past few weeks.
This is Champ my cousin's baby.
Another one of my cousin's percious kids.
This is Jamie. She is just a doll.
They visited a few weeks ago when Big Papa was in the hospital.

Moving Day for Amber
Amber is all moved into the dorm at UCA. She is loving it. I know I have lots of people praying for me about this big change because I have really had a peace about it that I didn't think I would have. Here are some pictures from moving day.

Thought For Today
If our lives reflect an image that is spiritually blurred, the truth of saving grace may not be clearly communicated.

I got this little story in an email this morning. I like it so I thought I'd share it here. The next time Anna and I are driving in the rain I think we will have a little talk about sin and God forgiving us.
One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main streets of town, taking those extra precautions necessary when the roads are wet and slick.
Suddenly, my son Matthew spoke up from his relaxed position in the front seat: "Mom, I'm thinking of something."
This announcement usually meant he had been pondering some fact for a while, and was now ready to expound all that his seven-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.
"What are you thinking?" I asked.
"The rain," he began, "is like sin, and the windshield wipers are like God wiping our sins away."
After the chill bumps raced up my arms, I was able to respond.
"That's really good, Matthew."
Then my curiosity broke in. How far would my little boy take this revelation?
So I asked, "Do you notice how the rain keeps on coming? What does that tell you?"
Matthew didn't hesitate one moment with his answer: "We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."
I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on.

The Dolphin Cruise
Today we took a little break from the beach. Three of us (Aunt Lane, Amber and Aubrey) sunburned yesterday and needed a break from the sun. We had so much fun today on the dolphin cruise. Anna loved it. Amber took the awesome pictures for me. She is so much better at taking pictures than I am. Our trip was cut a little short by rain but we got to see the dophins jumping in the wake of the boats so we didn't mind. After the dolphin cruise we went shopping at the Tanger Mall down here. We didn't buy much but had a good time. This evening we just hung out in the condo watching tv. We had a much needed relaxing day.
